At the press meet of MGR Sivaji Rajini Kamal, actress-turned-producer Vanitha Vijayakumar became quite emotional when she spoke about the struggles that she faced while producing the film. Wiping her tears, Vanitha said, “When I decided to produce MGR Sivaji Rajini Kamal, I didn’t know that producing a film is no child’s play. What we discussed as a joke at a friends’ gathering, developed into a feature film. As we progressed with the movie, I realised production is difficult.”

Vanitha produces the flick under her parents’ banner Vanitha Film Production, which had earlier bankrolled Rajinikanth’s Kai Kodukkum Kai. “When I saw our production company’s logo on the big screen again, I felt good, for all our efforts had finally paid off.”
MGR Sivaji Rajini Kamal is the directorial debut of actor and choreographer Robert, who also plays the lead role in the film. Debutante Chandrika pairs opposite him. Premgi Amaran, Ramji, Ganesh, and Aishwarya form the supporting cast. Musician Srikanth Deva has composed music.
