Pranav Mohanlal, son of actor Mohanlal, will be debuting as a lead actor in director Jeethu Joseph’s next. The film will be produced by close friend Antony Perumbavoor’s Aashirwad Pictures. Mohanlal announced the same through his Twitter account:

The thriller film will begin shooting early 2017, according to reports.
Pranav is not new to acting. In 2002, Pranav made his film debut as a child artist in a guest appearance in Thampi Kannanthanam directed Onnaman starring Mohanlal, he played the younger version of the character played by his father. In the same year, Pranav won a National Award for Best Child Actor for his work in the film Punarjani (2002) .

He has also appeared in a cameo in Mohanlal’s film Sagar Alias Jackie : Reloaded (2009). After an arts degree from the University of South Wales, Pranav began to assist director Jeethu on films such as Life of Josutty and Papanasam, the Tamil version of his father’s superhit Drishyam.
Jeethu Joseph, known for his thriller films like Memories and Drishyam last made Oozham with Prithviraj in the lead role. The film opened to mixed reviews.
