Prabhas, Pooja Hegde Team Up For A Romantic Entertainer

Prabhas At Express Raja Audio Launch

Prabhas and Pooja Hegde will star in director Radhakrishna Kumar’s next project. The film will release in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. The shooting for the film will start from September 20.

News of the project first made its way out in 2016, but was rumoured to have been postponed to make way for Prabhas’ other trilingual Saaho, also starring Shraddha Kapoor. Earlier today, an official announcement was made regarding the new film, with Prabhas posting on his social media account that he was excited to finally start working on the project.

Not much is known about the film at this point. A source close to the production house, UV Creations, said that Amit Trivedi and AR Rahman were the top choices to compose the music for the film. “Since the movie is being made in Hindi as well, the team wanted to find a music director and a technical crew who are recognizable names in Bollywood. Right now, Trivedi (who replaced AR Rahman in Syee Raa) and Rahman are the top contenders. They will announce the names soon.”

Radhakrishna Kumar, in conversation with Silverscreen, chose not to confirm this information and said: “I want to leave it to the production house to announce the key crew members. They have in mind a unique way to launch the film. And I want that to play out first.”

The film is a romantic entertainer that will take place in Europe. Radhakrishna already has some places in mind for the shoot. The delay is due to the lavish scale of the project, he said. “Contrary to the rumours, we didn’t postpone it for Saaho. We had to do a lot of preparations that caused the delay. We have the latest technology that will add value to the action sequences I have planned for the movie.”

The director, who made his debut with Jil, said that a title has not been finalised yet. “We are still zeroing in on a title. We will officially announce the title with the first-look poster.”

The film is set to go on the floors later this year. Initial reports suggest that the film is targeting a Deepavali release next year.
