The Oru Oorla Rendu Raja team is currently shooting in Rameswaram. Directed by R Kannan, the film has Vimal and Priya Anand in the lead. While director Kannan is known for remaking hit movies from other languages, we hear he has written the script for OORR himself. Comic actor Soori has a meaty role in this flick, and actress Vishakha Singh plays his love interest. Vimal essays the role of a young and energetic village guy who gets into trouble often while Priya Anand is an ‘educated’ girl from Madurai. Actress Iniya has done a special appearance in the movie, when the makers’ attempts to get Sunny Leone for the sequence failed. The film is almost complete, and the Rameswaram leg of shooting was wrapped up recently. A few more scenes are left to be filmed, following which the post-production will begin.
Oru Oorla Rendu Raja is produced by S Michael Rayappan under his Global Infotainment banner and has cinematography by PG Muthiah. D Imman has composed music, and has even roped in actress Lakshmi Menon to sing for the film.
