The first and second-look posters of Nivin Pauly, Nayanthara and Aju Varghese starrer Love Action Drama have released. The film, written and directed by Dhyan Sreenivasan, wrapped up in June. Post-production work is currently on.
The first-look featuring Nayanthara and Nivin Pauly was out on July 6, and trended for days. This is their first film together and marks Nayanthara’s return to Malayalam after 2017’s Puthiya Niyamam.

Reports say that the second poster has left Nayanathara fans disappointed. They have asked the makers to feature Nayanthara in all promotional material for the film.
The shoot for the film wrapped up on June 4, and Nivin Pauly shared a picture of the team celebrating on sets.

The film started production over a year ago and faced delays because of many reasons, including busy schedule of the actors. The team finished the first schedule last year and shoot resumed in February this year. The film is likely to release as planned during Onam in September.
It is speculated the story is a spin-off of Vadakkunokkiyanthram (1989), the super-hit film written and directed by Dhyan’s father Sreenivasan. The original revolved around the problems in a married couple’s life arising because of the husband’s inferiority complex. It also inspired remakes in other languages.

Dhyan has reportedly retained the names of the characters, Dhinesh and Shoba, for the new film. Dhinesh is from a well-to-do family who wants to make it big on his own, and Shoba is his wife from Palakkad. She reportedly speaks both Tamil and Malayalam in the film.
Dhyan’s father Sreenivasan, Urvashi, Dhanya Balakrishnan, director Antony Joseph, Durga Krishnan and Mallika Sukumar have important roles. Sreenivas Reddy is the cinematographer, Shaan Rahman, who regularly works with the director’s brother Vineeth Sreenivasan, is the music composer, Vivek Harshan is the editor and Ajayan Mangadu is the art director.
Meanwhile, Nayanthara currently has four films in the pipeline – Kolaiyuthir Kaalam, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, Bigil and Darbar. Nivin Pauly has Moothon, Thuramukham, Padavettu and Achayan.
