Nayanthara is likely to star in a movie directed by Milind Rau, of Aval fame. According to CE, the movie is produced by filmmaker Vignesh Shivan, who directed the actress in Naanum Rowdy Thaan.
An official confirmation regarding this is awaited. Nayanthara is currently shooting for the Malayalam movie Love Action Drama, opposite Nivin Pauly. Directed by Dhyan Sreenivasan, the film is rumoured to be spin off of Vadakkunokkiyanthram, a yesteryear hit by the director’s father Sreenivasan.
Nayanthara’s upcoming films include the thriller Kolayuthir Kaalam, directed by Chakri Toleti. She plays the female lead in Sivakarthikeyan’s Mr Local by director Rajesh, and the Telugu period drama Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. She was last seen in the Pongal release Viswasam, as the lead actor opposite Ajith.
She is currently awaiting the release of Airaa, which got its clearance from the censor board with a U/A certificate. Shoot for the film, directed by KM Sarjun, wrapped recently. It was announced that the film will release in March.
Airaa is produced by KJR studios, who earlier financed Nayanthara’s Aramm. Sudarsan Srinivasan, Priyanka Ravindran, Karthik Jogesh, Siva Sankar and Yogi Babu play supporting roles. Music for the film is by KS Sundaramurthy, the composer of 8 Thottakal.
