Megha Akash, the 22-year-old actress who plays the leading lady in Gautam Menon’s upcoming Ennai Nokki Payum Thota, is all set to make her Bollywood debut in Satellite Shankar. Akash is paired opposite Suraj Pancholi in the Bhushan Kumar produced movie, directed by Irfan Kamal.
The actress took to Twitter to share the news about her debut.

Irfan Kamal, who has scripted films like Krrish 3 and Jai Ho, will be directing Akash in the military-drama Satellite Shankar. Sooraj Pancholi, who was last seen in 2015 in his debut movie Hero, plays the role of a soldier in the film.
Though Akash made her acting debut in the 2017 Telugu movie Lie, it was the song ‘Maruvarthai Pesathe’ from Gautam Menon’s long-delayed Enai Nokki Payum Thota that familiarized her with the Tamil audiences. Starring Dhanush, the movie is expected to release on November 2 – over the Deepavali weekend.

Akash, who has already shot for a bunch of movies, is yet to have a release in Tamil. Besides Ennai Nokki Payum Thota, she had also shot for Oru Pakka Kathai. Originally announced in 2014, the movie which features Kalidas Jayaram in the lead, has been delayed.
Boomerang, starring Athravaa is yet another film of Akash’s that awaits release. Directed by R Kannan who was previously an assistant to Mani Ratnam, the movie is a social thriller. Also featuring Upen Patel, RJ Balaji and Suhasini Maniratnam, the movie is set to release on October 5.
Akash also features in the upcoming Rajinikanth movie Petta. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj and produced by Kalanithi Maran’s Sun Pictures, her co-stars in the film include Trisha Krishnan, Nawazzudin Siddiqui, Vijay Sethupati, Bobby Simha and Simran. She has also been signed on to play a role in director Sundar C’s upcoming movie. Starring Simbu in the lead, the shoot for the movie is in progress.
