Madras High Court Asks Registrar Of Societies To File Affidavit In Nadigar Sangam Case

The Madras High Court has ordered the Registrar of Societies to file an affidavit clarifying certain ambiguities in the by-laws of the Nadigar Sangam Association before July 28. The judgement issued by the High Court judges states that they do not have a say in the interim stay issued earlier on Nadigar Sangam Elections.

Actors Vishal and Naseer had earlier filed a petition to postpone the election to the second Sunday of the month. Actor and Secretary Radha Ravi had also filed a reply petition, saying the date change was unnecessary. The elections were originally scheduled for July 15, a weekday.

The Nadigar Sangam issue escalated after a difference of opinion arose between Sarath Kumar and his associates, and Vishal and his associates. Sarath Kumar and Radha Ravi will be contesting against Nasser and Vishal for the posts of President and Secretary respectively.
