Director Seenu Ramasamy will begin the shoot of his next film later this year. Said to be a political drama, the film has Vijay Sethupathi in the lead and is titled Maamanidhan.
The director told Silverscreen that he hopes to launch the project in the next couple of months. Shooting will begin in October this year.

Yuvan Shankar Raja is the producer of the movie. Ilaiyaraaja is the music director, according to reports. Rumours indicate that Ilaiyaraaja and Yuvan will team up to compose the music.
Seenu Ramasamy told Silverscreen that the possibility was being discussed. “Nothing is final till producer Yuvan announces it.”
Aishwarya Rajesh is reportedly in consideration to play a powerful role in the project.
This will mark the director and actor’s fourth project together, after Thenmerku Paruvakaatru (2010), which won the National Award for Best Film, Dharma Durai (2016), and the yet-to-be released Idam Porul Yaeval.
