Karunaas Miffed With Nadigar Sangam

Actor Karunaas made his displeasure with the Nadigar Sangam clear at the recently held Annual General meeting in Chennai. Taking to the stage, Karunaas (who holds the position of Vice President in the Nadigar Sangam) said:

“I hold an important position in the Nadigar Sangam. I am also an MLA, and so the decision to not involve me in the negotiations with the Government on important issues such as GST and the theatre strike is puzzling. I was very disappointed to be left out of an opportunity in which I could have done a lot of good.”

At the event, Vishal announced that the next elections for the top posts in the Nadigar Sangam will be held in 2018. He also confirmed that the Paandavar Ani will be contesting in the polls.

A decision was made to make representations to the State Government about getting tax relief. “The local tax of 10% will mean that producers will have to pay 40% tax. This is too high,” Vishal said, according to an official press release.

Vishal hopes to complete the new Nadigar Sangam building by December next year.
