Kanni Maadam has been shot on a tight schedule, and a shoestring budget. However, the cinematographer Iniyan was able to give it his best. He said, “I was under a lot of pressure and on an extremely tight schedule. I was so caught up one day that I didn’t realise that I had told our producer to move out of the shot. I apologise now for that, but, he is a gracious person and has been really friendly to us throughout.”

The producer of the film, Hasheer of Rooby Films said, “When Bose Venkat narrated the script to me, I was sure that this film was going to be a good story to invest in. I have always had a vision of backing good content and Kanni Maadam will be a good milestone for our production house.”
