Subbu Panchu, son of Panchu Arunachalam, will direct a refresh of his father’s 1979 superhit Kamal Hassan starrer Kalyanaraman. The refresh, to be written by Panchu Arunachalam himself, will have a female playing both the roles that Kamal Hassan did in the original.
Trisha Krishnan, reacting to reports that she had been approached for the movie, told the Deccan Chronicle that there had been no formal discussions yet.
Subbu Panchu who has essayed important roles in films like Kalakalappu, Biriyani and Vallavanukku Pullum Aayudham, said that he was confident that the movie would be well-received.
