Kamal Haasan will preside over a special tribute to Mandolin Srinivas who passed away last year. The event is being organised by musicians who collaborated with Srinivas and his students.
Speaking at the press meet, composer Devi Sri Prasad, one of the proteges of Mandolin Maestro said, “We are working with Srinivas’s brother Rajesh to put together this event. We still haven’t stopped mourning. Srinivas anna will be remembered forever.” He added that Zakir Hussain, Hariharan, Shankar Mahadevan are among many other musicians who would come down to Chennai to perform.
The tribute will be conducted at Music Academy on Srinivas’s birthday, February 28.
