The video opens to Arulnithi finding himself tied to a chair with the word ‘sorry’ written on a wall. Something is driving him to the edge, and Shraddha Srinath, whose presence he feels he is imagining, only adds to this mystery. She has the stronger presence, and in her voice-over she makes references to depression, asking if it’s an illness to be unlike others.

Arulnithi, stuck within the four walls of this house, is trying to escape in every scene. There’s some police interference, we see glimpses of Adhik Ravichandran, Yogi Babu, and Gayathri, but no one gets close to him or enters the house. The teaser ends with Shraddha saying, “What is wrong in being alone?”

K13 has been pitched as a psychological mystery-thriller. Arulnithi has earlier acted in thrillers such as Demonte Colony and Iravuku Ayiram Kangal.

Speaking about Shraddha Srinath and Arulnithi’s roles as being unique, the director said in a statement, “The reason behind choosing them is that they like challenging, content-driven roles, and are never in a hurry to take up projects. We wanted this teaser not just to be a curtain raiser, but also a slight attempt to establish the characters too. Revealing anything more could turn out to be a suspense spoiler,” he added. As reported earlier, the filmmaker said that K13 was a house address, and it was connected to the premise of the film.

K13 is produced by SP Shankar and Santha Priya for SP Cinemas, along with Kishore Sampath and Tesha Shree. Darbuka Siva is the composer, Aravinnd Singh the cinematographer, Ruben the editor and Udayakumar the sound designer.

Sudesh is the stunt choreographer, and the action scenes in the film are said to be a highlight.
