Janani Iyer has stated in an interview that she has performed some stunts in the Malayalam film Ma Chu Ka in which she plays the lead role. It’s a psycho-thriller directed by Jayan Vannery. It also has actors Pasupathy and Pratap K Pothen in other lead roles.

Janani Iyer in an interview with Times of India, said that having never done stunts before, the crew was apprehensive and offered to give her a body double. But she wanted to attempt the stunts. In her interview, she said, “I had to get suspended from a tree by ropes and that was quite challenging. After the shoot, the crew also agreed that it’s good that I did the stunts myself, as the sequences wouldn’t have looked original otherwise.” Janani plays the role of a journalist named Nivedita.
The movie is scheduled to release on 1 July.
