Singer Haricharan, most loved among youngsters, has reportedly sung a romantic melody in Kavalthurai Ungal Nanban, directed by Ranjith Manikandan (RDM) of Mo fame.
The track titled Rani Theni, is said to be an important song in the film. Another song called Enaku Nee, is sung by Shakthisree Gopalan. Music is by the duo Aditya and Soorya, and lyrics by Gnanakaravel.
The film stars the former VJ Suresh Ravi, who has played the lead in the director’s Mo and Adhimaedhavigal. Raveena of Oru Kidaiyin Karunai Manu is also the lead. Mime Gopi, Kalloori Vinoth and a few other actors have important roles.
Cinematography is by Vishnu Shri, and Vadivel-Vimal Raj are the editors. The film is produced by BR Talkies Corporation in association with White Moon Talkies.

In a press statement, Raveena says about her character, “In contrast to my debut film Oru Kidaiyin Karunai Manu, this one is completely different. I play the role of the protagonist’s wife, a working woman, who comes across a shocking incident that changes her course of life. Since I hadn’t faced such situations in real life, I had to prepare myself through acting workshops.”
“Kavalthurai Ungal Nanban focuses on problems women face in contemporary world. Although, the film’s premise is set against the bonding between a common man and a cop, this particular element will be the substantial aspect.” she says.
The film is said to be a romantic thriller revolving around the relationship dynamics between a police officer and food delivery executive, played by Suresh. Shoot wrapped a few months ago. The film is currently in its post-production, and is gearing up for release.
