According to a Deccan Chronicle report, the film that marks Yuvan’s second production under his banner, will be called Maamanithan and will have Sethupathi in the lead. Details about rest of the cast and crew will be revealed in an official announcement soon.

Seenu’s film will also see father-son Ilaiyaraaja and Yuvan team up. According to The News Minute, the director had originally approached Ilaiyaraaja with the project. While they were discussing the script, it was Seenu who suggested that they also bring Yuvan on board.

Ilaiyaraaja doesn’t usually collaborate with other composers, his last collaboration was with the late MS Viswanathan.

Sethupathi, meanwhile, appears to be signing projects every second day. One of his recent projects is said to be Balaji Tharaneetharan’s Seethakathi in which he plays a drama artiste. He also has Karuppan, a rural entertainer directed by R Paneerselvam, starring Lakshmi Menon, Bobby Simhaa, and Kishore.

Reports suggest that he is also likely to star in director Cheran’s comeback film.

The one with Seenu marks their fourth project together, the first three being Thenmerku Paruvakaatru (2010) for which they won the National Award for Best Film, Dharma Durai (2016), and the yet-to-be released Idam Porul Yaeval.
