Dhanush Puts Rest To Rumours Against Jallikattu

Actor Dhanush, who has been misquoted through memes as the Brand Ambassador of PETA (People of Ethical Treatment of Animals), has cleared the saying he is not. Rumors about Dhanush supporting PETA in the ban of Jallikattu have ben doing the rounds since yesterday. Through his official Twitter account, Dhanush cleared the air saying that he supports Jallikattu and has never made any comment regarding the sport.

In 2012, actor Dhanush was awarded the Hottest Vegetarian Celebrity 2011 along with Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat. Since, he was awarded by PETA, miscreants spread rumors about him supporting PETA’s act. He retorted saying,

PETA has earned itself a bad name among Jallikattu supporters for filing a case requesting the High Court to ban Jallikattu. PETA claims that the bulls that take part in the sport are being ill-treated and fed liquor before the race begins. In January 2013, PETA came up with a video about the Jallikattu practices and how the bulls are getting injured on taking part in Jallikattu.
