Following the success of Baahubali, the makers of the Vijay-starrer Puli now plan to release the film in Hindi and Telugu, along with the original Tamil version. According to a Deccan Chronicle report, the Hindi version will be released in 1500 screens, while the Telugu version will be released in 1200 screens in Andhra Pradesh. Producer PT Selvakumar has further confirmed that the film will also be released in China and Japan.
According to PT Selvakumar, Puli‘s fantasy storyline set against a historical backdrop will have universal appeal. Puli features an ensemble cast of Vijay, Hansika, Shruti Haasan, Sridevi, and Sudeep.
Post-production work is currently underway in six countries. The movie will feature a total of 2200 VFX shots.
