Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor (Baby Doll, Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan) has tested positive for Coronavirus. Kanika posted this message on her Instagram account: “Hello everyone, for the past 4 days I have had signs of flu, I got myself tested and it came positive for Covid-19. My family and I are in complete quarantine now and following medical advice on how to move forward. Contact mapping of people I have been in touch with is underway as well. I was scanned at the airport as per normal procedure 10 days ago when I came back home, the symptoms have developed only 4 days ago. At this stage, I would like to urge you all to practice self-isolation and get tested if you have the signs. I am feeling ok, like a normal flu and a mild fever, however we need to be sensible citizens at this time and think of all around us. We can get through this without panic only if we listen to the experts and our local, state and central government directives. Wishing everyone good health. Jai Hind”.
Several news reports have said that she hid her travel history from authorities. India Today reported that “The 41-year-old actress was in London for a while and returned to Lucknow on March 15. She also refrained from informing authorities about her travel history. Upon arriving in Lucknow, Kanika hosted a lavish party for her friends and family at a five-star hotel.” The singer’s father told Hindustan Times, “After she started developing some symptoms similar to Covid19 she herself informed the chief medical officers and her samples were taken. Today she was confirmed positive. The team of doctors have taken her to Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI) and she has been kept in isolation.”
She had returned from the United Kingdom on Sunday, and hidden her travel history from the authorities
Upon return, she stayed in a 5 🌟 & attended a party with at least 100 people present.
This is such criminal behaviour!

Among those who attended the party were top bureaucrats who reportedly work very closely with the UP CM, BJP MP Dushyant Singh, who went on to attend Lok Sabha and went to the Rashtrapati Bhavan as part of a delegation hosted by the President of India, Ramnath Kovind.
While in Lucknow, I attended a dinner with my son Dushyant & his in-laws. Kanika, who has unfortunately tested positive for #Covid19 was also a guest.
As a matter of abundant caution, my son & I have immediately self-quarantined and we’re taking all necessary precautions.
