Bharath Plays A Villain In Mahesh Babu’s Sambhavami

Actor Bharath, who was last seen in Killadi (2015), will play a villain in Sambhavami. The film stars Mahesh Baby and Rakul Preet Singh, and is directed by AR Murugadoss. The actor hasn’t played a negative role since Chellamae (2004). Speaking to the Times of India he said, “I haven’t done any negative roles after Chellamae. The way he [AR Murugadoss] has written my character was very interesting. Even though SJ Suryah is also playing a negative role in this film, mine would also be a solid role, I’ve been told. Also, this is a big set-up and I am really glad that I am getting to do this film.”

SJ Suryah plays the main antagonist. Other supporting actors include RJ Balaji, Priyadharshi,  and Nadiya.

This will be Mahesh Babu’s long awaited debut in Tamil. His last film Brahmotsavam was supposed to be a bilingual in Telugu and Tamil, but was ultimately made only in Telugu.

Bharath said it had been easy to work with Mahesh Babu, “He comes across as a warm person. Despite his stature in the industry, he was really friendly. We had to shoot some really tough scenes together in the first schedule itself, but he made it easy for me.”

Bharath hasn’t had box-office for years now, and will be hoping that 2017 is a good year for him. He has six releases lined up for 2017 –  Simba, Ennodu Vilaiyaadu, Pottu, Kadaisi Bench Karthi, Kadugu, and Sambhavami.

Sambhavami will have music by Harris Jayaraj and cinematography by Santhosh Sivan. It is jointly produced by Tagore Madhu, Nallamalapu Srinivas, NV Prasad, AR Murugadoss and Mahesh Babu. The film is expected to release in June 2017.
