‘Aravindha Sametha’ Trailer Stars Junior NTR As A Man Who Takes To Violence To Protect His Family

Aravindha Sametha‘s hero – Veera Raghava Reddy (Junior NTR) – is the third generation member of his family to take to a life of violence to protect his kin. An interesting dialogue in the Trivikram-directed film says that violence was a necessity for Veera Raghava Reddy’s grandfather; it was an inheritance for his father, but for Reddy, it has become second nature.

Reddy is thrust into the role of a protector. While he is also shown as a carefree youth looking for romance in the beginning, he soon adopts a more sober attitude once problems pile up.

The trailer, released on October 2, lays the groundwork for Veera Raghava ‘s struggle between his inclination for violence and his resolution to adopt more non-violent methods.

Neelambari (Pooja Hegde) warns Veera Raghava that a person who foregoes violence in favour of other methods is ‘big-hearted’. And ultimately, it is up to Veera Raghava to decide who he wants to be.

The lovely classical music interlude in the beginning of the trailer features a collage of scenes – Veera Raghava’s attempts to romance Neelambari. The latter’s character is quite unique. For one, she refuses to say her name. And in a startling move, it is the heroine who requests for some space, gesturing at the hero to move away.

The shift to Veera Raghava’s village is introduced through a question posed by Neelambari. “Do you know what factionism means?” she asks a clueless Veera Raghava. It is hinted that he will soon learn.

The film, produced by S Radhakrishna for Haarika & Haasine Creations, with music by S Thaman and cinematography by PS Vinod, is readying for release over the Dussehra weekend this month. Jagapathi Babu is the villain of the piece, sporting a scarred face perfect for scaring little children. Would that work on Veera Raghava though?
