Allari Naresh In The Telugu Remake of Nivin Pauly’s Oru Vadakkan Selfie

Actor Allari Naresh will be playing the lead role in the Telugu remake of Oru Vadakkan Selfie, a 2015 Malayalam film starring Nivin Pauly. Earlier, there were reports that the film will be remade in 5 languages – Tamil, telugu, Marathi , Hindi and Bengali. This is the first official announcement of a remake. Anish Krishna, who directed the 2014 comedy Ala Ela, will be directing the film. The shooting is expected to begin in October.

Allari Naresh, who is known for his comedy films, has acted in 53 films so far, including Tamil films Kurumbu and Poraali. He was last seen in Selfie Raja, a comedy drama which was panned by audience and critics alike. In the film, he played a character that runs into problems because of his obsession of selfies. Oru Vadakkan Selfie is about an aimless youngster who lands in trouble for a selfie he takes during a train journey. Nivin Pauly, Aju Varghese and Manjima Mohan played the lead roles in the Malayalam film, which was written by actor-director Vineeth Sreenivasan. The Telugu remake of another Malayalam film of Nivin Pauly, Premam, is gearing up for theatrical release. Starring Naga Chaithanya, Shruti Haasan and Madonna Sebastian, the remake goes by the title Premam.
