After Irumbu Thirai, director PS Mithran is all set to make his next thriller starring Sivakarthikeyan and Arjun Sarja in the lead.
The film is produced by RD Raja under the banner 24 AM Studios. Music for the film is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, while the camera is cranked by George C Williams. Antony L Ruben handles the editing. The remaining cast and crew are yet to be finalised.

While Bollywood actors like Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar have distanced themselves from those who have been accused of sexual harassment in the #MeToo movement, PS Mithran, when asked about casting Arjun Sarja in the film, said: “I have worked with Arjun previously and it was a pleasant working experience with him. I have no idea about the allegations and I’m not taking that into consideration to work with him.”
Arjun Sarja was accused of sexual harassment by actress Sruthi Hariharan who filed a complaint against him. She alleged that the actor misbehaved with her during the shoot of the bilingual film Vismaya. A case was then registered against the actor at the Cubbon Park police station. However, the actor denied the allegations and filed a Rs 5 crore defamation suit against Sruthi at the Bengaluru City civil court. The suit was filed on Arjun’s behalf by his nephew, Dhruva Sarja.

Talking about casting Sivakarthikeyan, Mithran had earlier told us: “We have known each other since 2010 when we worked together on a short film. We have always wanted to make a feature film, but it never took off because Irumbu Thirai got delayed – we started filming in 2016 and it released only in 2018. Sivakarthikeyan and I started discussing the new project after the release of Irumbu Thirai.”
The film, which is in pre-production, will go on floors by the end of December or January 2019.
Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan has already started shooting for his next film with director Ravi Kumar of Netru Indru Naalai fame. Said to be a science fiction film, it will be made on a big budget and is expected to release next year. He has also teamed up with director M Rajesh for a comedy drama, starring Nayanthara in the lead.
