The latest entrant to the sets of the AR Murugadoss directorial Thalapathy 62 is actor Radha Ravi. According to reports, the senior actor will be seen in the role of a politician.
Radha Ravi has always played the roles of a powerful antagonist; the exception being the Mysskin-directorial Pisaasu which saw him as the grieving father of a dead girl. It is yet unclear if the actor will be seen as an antagonist in Thalapathy 62.
The Vijay-starrer, also featuring Keerthy Suresh and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, is slated for a Deepavali release. This is the third time that Vijay and Murugadoss are collaborating after Thuppakki and Kaththi. AR Rahman composes music while Girish Gangadharan of Solo fame handles the camera.
While the strike called for by the TFPC has halted the production of almost all films, a few including Thalapathy 62 continue to shoot with special permission. “Earlier, while planning the strike, we’d decided to give permission to those who wanted to complete shooting their portions. For the Sun TV project, a stunt master from Hyderabad is here along with his crew, and as his dates won’t be available till next month, we decided to let them work,” said TFPC Secretary Durai Raj.
