‘AAA’ Producer Michael Rayappan Summoned To Appear In High Court

AAA, Producer, Court

STR’s AAA may face some last minute hurdles before its scheduled release tomorrow. Producer Michael Rayappan has been summoned to court, following a petition seeking a stay on the film’s release.

According to sources, Michael Rayappan, of Global Infotainment, had borrowed a sum of Rs 25 Lakhs from a financier named Ramesh, on the condition that it would be returned ahead of release. Ramesh claims in his petition that Michael has failed to return the money, and so requests the high court to stay the film’s release.

The petition came up in front of Justice Parthiban. Lawyers on behalf of Michael Rayappan had said that he was prepared to issue a Bank Guarantee for the loan amount. The court registered the same, and directed Michael Rayappan to answer the petition directly. Hearing has been adjourned.

AAA, meanwhile, is being touted as the hottest film by the trade. Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, the film will be released in two parts, with the first one set to hit the screens for the Ramzan weekend, tomorrow.
