Actor Karunakaran has signed for lead role in a film with debutant director Zion.

With Kamal Haasan’s Sabaash Naidu delayed, Vishwaroopam 2 might be released early.

Suriya might play a boxer in a film with Pa Ranjith.

Ranbir Kapoor might play his grand father, Raj Kapoor, in a biopic that will be produced under the family’s banner RK Films.

Mammootty’s next might be with upcoming director Omar of Happy Wedding fame.

Konkona Sen Sharma’s directorial debut A Death In The Gunj has released its trailer. The film stars Kalki Koechlin, Ranvir Shorey, Gulshan Devaiya, Om Puri, and Vikrant Massey. Watch it here:  A Death In The Gunj Trailer.

Katrina Kaif and Siddharth Malhotra’s Baar Baar Dekho is set to release on 9 September.

Vijay Sethupathi’s Aandavan Kattalai will have a direct theatrical release. There will be no initial screenings at film festivals.


Sasikumar’s Kidaari will feature three prominent Tamil writers in the cast: Vela Ramamurthy, Mu Ramaswamy, and Vasumithra.


Netflix is set to make a film on the controversial Panama Papers leak. The filmmakers will work with the journalists who had worked on the story.

Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh, production houses Yash Raj Films, and Salman Khan Films have received notices from the Central Board of Excise & Customs (CBEC) seeking information about their income.

Former cricketer Brett Lee will make an appearance on the Hindi TV show Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain.

Jewellery designer Farah Khan Ali will make an appearance today at the CaratLane store in Nungambakkam.
