After a gap of 17 years, actor-screenwriter Sreenivasan will be collaborating again with director Sathyan Anthikad. He has written the screenplay for a film titled Malayali and it will star Fahadh Faasil in the lead role.
The film will see Fahadh in the role of a Malayali guy named Prakashan. The film chronicles the life of Prakashan who changes his name to PR Aakash to fit into the modern world.
Like any Sreenivasan story, this too will delve into some socio-political issues and class struggles in Kerala. The writer-director duo was last seen working in the movie, Yathrakarude Sradhakku with Jayaram and late actress Soundarya in the lead. For Fahadh, this is his second collaboration with the director, after the hit film Oru Indian Pranayakadha.
Sreenivasan and Sathyan Anthikad together have made some of the greatest hits in Malayalam cinema which includes TP Balagopalan MA, Varavelpu, Sandhesham and Nadodikkattu.
The film will be produced by Sethu Mannarkkad under the banner of Fullmoon Cinema.
