Ee.Ma.Yau, Lijo Jose Pellissery’s highly-anticipated Malayalam film, will release on May 4. Aashiq Abu, producer of the movie, made the announcement on Facebook.

The movie, written by MF Mathews, is a satirical take on the subject of death, and revolves around the lives of people in a fishing village in Kochi.

Ee.Ma.Yau premiered in Kochi, and stars Vinayakan, Chemban Vinod Jose and director-actor Dileesh Pothen in the lead roles. Pauly Valsan won this year’s Kerala State Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the film while Lijo Pellissery won Best Director and Renganath Ravee won Best Sound Design.
Prashanth Pillai has composed music for the film while cinematography is by Shyju Khalid. Ee.Ma.Yau is bankrolled by Aashiq Abu for OPM production company, and distributed by Central Pictures.
