Anupama Parameswaran of Premam fame plays the lead female role. It was announced earlier that a newcomer would play the second lead in the movie. Aishwarya Rajesh seems to have bagged this role. The movie will primarily be a romance movie with subtle humour between the lead pair.

While details about Aishwarya’s role are still under wraps, the director revealed that Anupama will play a girl called Catherine, while Dulquer will play the fourth son of actor Mukesh’s character. Director Sathyan Anthikad told ToI, “Catherine comes from an affluent background, who spent her childhood in Dubai. Dulquer, impressed by her looks, falls in love with her.”

Dulquer shared his excitement for the project through a post on his Facebook account, “I grew up watching Sathyan (Anthikad) Sirs films. I loved them dearly and they were a huge part of my sister’s and my childhood. So many of Sathyan sirs films were so real that many of those characters are still alive in all of us. If life is an endless quest for knowledge and learning, I’m blessed to be taught by one more Master. Started my new film with none other than The Sathyan Anthikad. Thank you for this opportunity sir.”

The movie, scripted by Iqbal Kuttipuram, will be shot primarily in Thrissur, and also in locales in Tamil Nadu such as Tirupur, Pollachi, Thanjavur and Kanchipuram. The movie will start it’s shoot on August 29, and is slated for a Christmas release.

Meanwhile Aishwarya Rajesh has a packed year ahead. She has signed on another movie with Nivin Pauly under the direction of Sidhartha Siva. The movie is reportedly heading for a Christmas release. She will also be making her Bollywood debut alongside Arjun Rampal in Daddy, directed by Ashim Ahluwalia. In Kollywood, she awaits the release of Kattapavo Kanom.
