Madhavan To Play A Rocket Scientist

Actor Madhavan recently revealed that his sudden weight gain is all for a role. He will be playing Nambi Narayanan, the Indian rocket scientist, in an upcoming biopic.

Speaking to The Times of India, the Vikram Vedha actor said, “The prep is taking me through different age groups, shapes and sizes. I have to put on weight to play the character in his older days, and I consulted Aamir (Khan) for tips. He told me it’s better to do the heavier parts first so that I’m compelled to lose all the weight I put on.”

The film will be a trilingual releasing in Tamil, Hindi and English.

S Nambi Narayanan is a senior official at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), he was in-charge of the cryogenics division. It is reported that in 1994, he was falsely charged with espionage and arrested but the charges were dropped by the CBI two years later, and he was declared not guilty in 1998.

FIR Against Kamal Haasan For His Comments On Hindu Terror

The Madras High Court has reportedly asked the Chennai police to register a case against actor Kamal Haasan only if the charges against him turn out to be cognisable offences. According to The Hindu, Justice MS Ramesh, in the order that sought a direction to the police to book Haasan on charges of disrupting communal harmony.

A petition was filed in the Madras High Court last week, asking the court to direct the Chennai Police Commissioner to file a case against Haasan for his comments on “Hindu terrorism”. Filed by social activist G Devarajan, the petition wants the police to investigate Haasan’s views on Hindus which was published by Tamil magazine Ananda Vikatan. Devarajan reportedly alleges that the actor is trying to instigate violence with his comments.

The video features Chris Pratt, who plays Owen Grady, and a baby dinosaur.
