In the wake of the #Metoo movement, many women from the film industry have come forward to share their abuse stories and the latest accused on this list is veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty’s son Mahaakshay.
Earlier this week, on Tuesday, Mahaakshay was slapped with rape charges by a Bhojpuri actress. An FIR was lodged against Mithun’s son, and his mother Yogita Bali.
However, despite being slapped with rape charges, Mahaakshay is set to tie the knot with his longtime girlfriend Madalsa Sharma on July 7, reports suggest. Madalsa is the daughter of Yess Boss actress Sheela Sharma.
The complainant, who requested anonimity alleged that Mimoh raped her for four years, cheated on her and also coerced her into an abortion. The woman also said that Mahaakshay’s mother Yogeeta Bali was equally responsible for their relationship to hit rock bottom. In her complaint she said that she was threatened by Yogeeta and her son and fearing her life, she moved from Mumbai to Delhi.

However, this did not deter Madalsa from sealing the deal with Mimoh. Speaking about the accusation on her to-be-son-in-law, Madalsa’s mother said: “Mimoh met her (the complainant) in 2015 and we are aware of it. In fact, Mimoh had also filed a Non Cognizable (NC) complaint against her for creating trouble in the past. Why has she resurfaced now, just a few days before the wedding? Why did she wait for so long to take action? Everybody has a past and we know the truth.”
Talking about the wedding Madalsa Sharma said: “It’s going good. All are very excited and we are keeping it a low-key affair because we wanted to be it a family affair. It’s a destination wedding; I can’t reveal the place – but for sure it’s not in Mumbai.”
She further said that their families knew each other for a long time and they took the first call about the wedding. Madalsa went to reveal that they also exchanged rings in a low-key engagement ceremony in March.
