Prakash Raj Lashes Out At BJP MLA Who Insulted The Actor

Prakash Raj has said that he will take BJP MLA Pratap Simha to the court if he doesn’t respond to his legal notice that was sent to him for his comments about the actor. The actor last month criticised Narendra Modi for his “silence” on those “celebrating” Kannada journalist Gauri Lankesh’s killing.

Simha, a former Karnataka journalist who now heads the BJP’s Yuva Morcha in the state, had reportedly in tweets and Facebook posts said that the actor was busy chasing a dancer when his son, Sidhu, died.

Kamal Haasan Conveys His Condolence To Producer Ashok Kumar’s Family

Kamal Haasan has said that the prevalence of usury affects various sections including farmers and the cinema industry. The actor was responding to the alleged suicide of a Tamil film producer, Ashok Kumar, who in his suicide note, accused a Madurai-based financier Anbu Chezhian of harassing him for years.

“Law and the cinema industry should end the atrocities of usury which affects those ranging from farmers to cinema professionals believed to be rich,” the actor said in a tweet. He further said that such an “untimely death” of Ashok Kumar should not recur.

Actor Prakash Raj, too, expressed his sympathies and concerns.
