Cameron Diaz Says She Has Retired From Acting

Hollywood actress Cameron Diaz, best known for her roles in The Mask (1994), There’s Something About Mary (1998), and Charlies Angels (2000), has confirmed her retirement. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, along with her The Sweetest Thing co-stars Christina Applegate and Selma Blair, Diaz confirmed that she has retired since she is ‘literally doing nothing’.

When asked about having a reunion with her three co-stars, Diaz said, “Maybe I should, you know, I mean, I’m down. I’m literally doing nothing.” She followed it up with, “I’m semi-retired, too, and I am actually retired, so I would love to see you ladies.”

Incidentally, last month, Blair, in an interview with Metro, inadvertently joked about Diaz retiring. She later clarified it on Twitter.

Last seen in musical comedy-drama Annie in 2014, Diaz has made fewer appearances on screen in the last few years. After starring in a number of films from 2009, Diaz, briefly disappeared. She has been married to musician Benji Madden since 2015.
