The first teaser of director Gauri Shinde’s Dear Zindagi is out, and it looks breezy. Like Shinde’s previous film, English Vinglish, this one too, has a female protagonist, played by Alia Bhatt. Amit Trivedi has composed the film’s music. It is produced by Gauri Khan, Karan Johar and Gauri Shinde.
In Dear Zindagi, Bhatt plays Kiara, an adorable young girl, confused about life. Shah Rukh Khan tries to answer her questions. In the one minute teaser, they are seen playing on a seashore, where Khan teaches Alia to play kabaddi with the waves. Then, the duo is seen cycling through a picturesque locale. “I want to be free,” says Alia in her quintessential cute manner, as Khan watches over her like a shrink.
The film has been in the news right from its announcement, mainly for the unusual pairing of Alia Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan. The duo launched the film’s first look in July, through an adorable ‘tweet’ conversation. “Dear Zindagi, Is it ok not to be ok?” asked Alia, to which Khan replied, “Dear Alia, See the sun is up. The sky is kinda blue. Sort of beautiful. So it’s ok if you are not ok. As long as you take care of one person. And that one person is you.”

Earlier, it was said that Pakistani actor Ali Zafar will be playing a pivotal role in the film. Now, it’s known that he has been replaced by Aditya Roy Kapoor.
