A Thane Court has granted actor Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra, anticipatory bail in the cheating case.
Aniket Nikam, legal counsel for Shetty and Kundra told DNA, “The judge has granted anticipatory bail to actor Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra. A case under Sections 420 (Cheating) and 406 (Criminal breach of trust) of the Indian Penal Code was registered against them.”

According to a PTI news report in HT, the couple have been accused of duping a textile firm owner of Rs 24 lakhs.
Big Deals, a company in which Shetty and Kundra are directors, had allegedly collected money from customers for the sale of bed-sheets on behalf of Malotia Textiles through TV advertisements.
However, the textile firm has alleged that the couple has not paid them the proceeds.
