‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’ Will Run Tax Free In Maharashtra

The Maharashtra government has given tax free status to James Erskine’s film Sachin: A Billion Dreams, which is based on cricketer Sachin Tendulkar’s life.

The state government reportedly took the decision to waive the entertainment tax to honour Tendulkar’s contribution to the world of sports, and also to ensure that the film reaches more people in the state.

The film is based on the personal and professional life of cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, and has been written and directed by British filmmaker James Erskine.

A star-studded premiere of the docu drama was held recently and saw the presence of stars such as Aishwarya Rai, Amitabh Bachchan, MS Dhoni, and Virat Kohli.
