Ahead of its official release on August 25, Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s upcoming film, Babumoshai Bandookbaaz, has reportedly been leaked online. Many social media accounts had posted links of websites where the film could be illegally streamed, though of poor quality.
According to a report in Internal Business Times, the leak is expected to hit the box office business of the film. The report estimates the opening collection of the film to be around Rs 2 crore.

However, director of the film, Kushan Nandy, confirmed with Pinkvilla that the news about the leaks were mere rumours. “There is no truth to this. It’s a rumour. Babumoshai Bandookbaaz has not been leaked. The only way you will see it is in the theatres on August 25,” he said.
The film was recently cleared by the Film Certification Appellate Tribunal (FCAT) with eight “minor and voluntary cuts”. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), which was earlier headed by Pahlaj Nihalani, had demanded 48 cuts in the film in order to get the ‘A’ certification.
