Doctors attending to veteran actor Dilip Kumar have said that he is recovering well after a bout of dehydration and a urinary infection. The actor was admitted earlier this month to the Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai.
A spokesperson for the hospital recently said:
“Dilip Kumar’s creatinine levels have come down considerably, and that is great news. He is also having normal meals prescribed by the hospital nutritionists. When to discharge him, will be decided tomorrow.”
“He has eaten food on his own and that’s a very good sign. He’s alert and we are happy with how his health is improving,” Ajay Kumar Pande, Vice-President of the hospital added.
Earlier this week, the team monitoring Dilip Kumar’s Twitter account posted updates about his health.

Dilip Kumar was admitted to the hospital on August 2 and until August 3, reports indicated that his condition had worsened. Some reports said he had been put on ventilator support.
However, doctors treating him clarified that he had not been on ventilator support and neither was his condition unstable.
