Solanki’s lawyer told PTI that Solanki has demanded registration of cases against the actor and others under IPC 304 (a) (causing death by negligence), 427 (mischief causing damage to the amount of fifty rupees), 336 (act endangering life or personal safety of others) and 147 (punishment for rioting).

Farheed Khan Pathan Pathan suffered a heart attack when SRK’s train – the August Kranti Rajdhani Express – arrived at Vadodara station. Khan had boarded the train from Mumbai Central to Delhi as part of his promotional campaign ‘Raees by Rail’. Fans of the actor gathered at Vadodara station, and when the train arrived, the crowd went berserk.

Farheed passed away in the ensuing melee. Several people at the event were also reportedly injured during the fracas. Subsequently, Solanki approached the court of the Judicial Magistrate First Class seeking its direction to the Railway Police at Vadodara to register a case against Shah Rukh Khan.

According to a report in The Hindu, on the day of the film’s promotions in Vadodra, the police had to resort to mild lathi-charge when the crowd banged the train’s window panes and even fell on top of each other once the promotional train halted.

SRK had expressed his condolences over Farheed’s death as soon as the news surfaced.
