Weekend Watch: Blackmail, Missing In Bollywood & Parole In Malayalam Are This Week’s Big Releases

As the film strike in Tamil Nadu is still on, no new Tamil movies released this weekend. But, let’s take a look at this week’s releases in other languages.

Bollywood

Blackmail

This black comedy depicts the life of Dev Kaushal, portrayed by Irrfan Khan, who finds out that his wife is having an extra-marital affair. Written by Parveez Sheikh and Pradhuman Singh Mall, the film is directed by Abhinay Deo. Kriti Kulhari plays Reena Kaushal, Dev’s wife. The movie also stars Divya Dutta, Arunoday Singh and Omi Vaidya.

Missing

Starring Tabu and Manoj Bajpayee, this psychological thriller is written and directed by Mukul Abhyankar. The story revolves around Mr and Mrs Dubey, whose daughter is kidnapped during a holiday in Mauritius. Music for the movie is by MM Kreem, while Annu Kapoor plays the cop who investigates the child’s disappearance.

Telugu

Inthalo Ennenni Vinthalo

This is a romance action film directed by Varaprasad Varikooti and produced by S Srikanth Reddy. Nandu, Sowmya and Pooja Ramachandran play the main leads while Gagan Vihari, Jabardasth Venu and Duvvasi Mohan are among the supporting cast. Yajamanya has scored music for this movie.

Satya Gang

This is an action film directed by Prabhas Nimmala and produced by Mahesh Khanna. The music for the movie is by JB.

Sathvik Eshwar, Prathyush, Akshita and Harishitha Singh  play  the lead alongside  Suman, Suhasini Mani Ratnam and Prabhakar in the movie.

 

Malayalam

In Malayalam, a few movies released along with Mammootty’s Parole.

Parole

Parole is Mammootty’s next big film after Masterpiece. The actor was last seen in a cameo in Jayasurya’s CaptainParole is the story of comrade Alex, a family man, a Communist rebel and a convict. Parole, helmed by Sharath Sandith,  features Mia George, Suraj Venjaranmoodu and Siddique. Produced by Anthony D Cruz under the banner Anthony D Cruz Entertainment, the script is penned by Ajith Poojappura and  music is by Sharath.

 

 Suvarna Purushan

Suvarna Purushan is a Malayalam comedy, written and directed by Sunil Paveily. The film stars veteran actor  Innocent, Lena, Sreejith Ravi in the lead. The movie depicts the adversities faced by a theatre owner to release Mohanlal’s biggest blockbuster Pulimurugan.

Orayiram Kinakkalal

This Malayalam comedy, written and directed by Pramod Mohan, stars Biju Menon, Roshan Mathew & Sakshi Agarwal in the lead. The plot revolves around Sreeram (Biju Menon), who returns to Kerala after a stint in London, and teams up with a free-spirited young man to make some quick money.
