With a little over 20 days to go for the release of Avengers: Infinity War, social media platforms are abuzz with fan theories and artwork adding to the curiosity and excitement. The fan theories reached a peak when the Russo Brothers, the film’s directors, shared a letter to the Marvel Universe fans requesting them to not reveal any spoilers.
“Don’t spoil it for others, the same way you wouldn’t want it spoiled for you. #ThanosDemandsYourSilence,” they wrote.

As for the theories, there are quite a few related to Thanos.

The hunt for the Infinity Stones
The T.H.A.N.O.S. theory posits that Marvel has deliberately hid the Infinity Stones within objects whose first letters spell out the name ‘Thanos.’ The Space Stone is in the Tesseract, the Reality Stone is the Aether, the Time Stone is contained within Doctor Strange’s “Necklace,” the Power Stone is in an Orb, and the Mind Stone was originally in Loki’s Scepter. If this theory is accurate, the Soul Stone is somehow connected to the letter “H.” This has led many fans to speculate that the Soul Stone is tied to Heimdall, or to the Heart-Shaped Herb, or even to “Him” (Adam Warlock). – Screenrant.
Death of some crucial characters
It seems likely that Ironman will be rescued at the last moment by another hero in a classic narrow escape. Steve Rogers, on the other hand, appears to be the one stepping in between Thanos and his intended target, taking him by surprise. – Fan Theory World.
Many of the theories that are floating around the internet are mainly about the ending of the movie, with which Avengers franchise will also come to an end. One such theory suggests that Thanos, by collecting all the Infinity Stones, will do the iconic “snap of fingers” and half the world will vanish.
Who is ready to fight and kill Thanos?
While there might be a death/deaths in Avengers: Infinity War, (thanks to Ironman’s vision in Avengers 2), but there are some superheroes, not part of the MCU, who can fight and defeat Thanos. This fan theory suggests that Spiderman could be a target but it will be up to Thor (hinted by the Russo brothers) or Ironman to kill Thanos.
Some theory supports the inclusion of Marvel characters life Jean Grey, from the X-Men franchise, but can’t happen because it’s strictly Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). But among Avengers, there are some who accomplish this feat. Some fan theories suggest that Hela, who is the sister to Thor and Loi and the daughter of Odin and the God of Death, might get a chance to outlive Thanos.
Will Captain Marvel make an appearance?
Captain Marvel, the lady superhero, is considered to be the most powerful of all the Avengers and characters that Marvel has ever produced. She is like the Superman of DC comics. A fan theory suggests that Captain Marvel would make an appearance in the Infinity Stones movie. Earlier, it was reported that Brie Larson will portray Captain Marvel in a standalone film.
What about the Easter Eggs?
The recently released trailer hints that the Easter Eggs could give clues to the audience on what to expect. One such theory is about Gamora, who is the adopted daughter of Thanos, from the original comic book edition. She is heard in the trailer saying that Thanos can destroy the world with the snap of his fingers.
Theories apart, there is plenty of fan art too.
