What’s making the news 

Film distributors and exhibitors in Karnataka have decided not to screen Rajinikanth’s Kaala in theatres in protest against the superstar’s stand on the Cauvery water row with Tamil Nadu. Though there has been no official ban on the film, the distributors group have decided not to screen it to avoid aggravating the water dispute between the two bordering state.

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth was in Thoothukudi meeting people who have been injured in the Sterlite protests. He announced Rs 2 lakhs each for the kin of victims who died in the police firing. He said that the government failed to control the anti-social elements and demanded NHRC, CBCID probe into violence.

Nihalani told ANI, “I have made a movie inspired by the life of Vijay Mallya, and Govinda is in the main lead, audiences will be surprised to see his new avatar. The movie will be completely entertaining.”
