Metro, a crime thriller directed by Ananda Krishnan, that was released last week to mixed reviews, is all set to be remade in Telugu. Sources report that a Telugu Producer has expressed his interest in remaking the film in Telugu, and that initial talks are on with actor Naga Chaitanya to play the lead role of a journalist. Interestingly, Shirish, who played this role in Tamil, will be playing the main antagonist of the film, a member of a chain snatching gang.

The film made news even before its release in May when the CBFC refused to certify the film. Later, at the Revision committee, the CBFC granted the film an ‘Adults Only’ certificate with no cuts.
