Idam Porul Eval’s soundtrack was made available online by miscreants a week ahead of its audio release. Within minutes, the audio was downloaded and shared by several fans; a fact which caused director Seenu Ramasamy a lot of hurt and unhappiness. Through an official press release, the director lamented about his ‘helpless state’ and revealed that he was ‘shocked’ at such an obvious act of piracy. “I came to know about this sometime after the music went online and all of us – Yuvan Shankar Raja, Vairamuthu and the cast – were shocked and outraged.”
The team is now undertaking efforts to pull all pirated links from websites and has also urged fans to report any unauthorised links.
Idam Porul Eval is currently in post-production and is expected to release by February 2015.
