London’s Madame Tussauds Museum announced on Wednesday that it had separated the wax figure replicas of actors Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, following reports of their divorce. The wax replicas had been previously stood side-by-side in the museum that’s a tourist attraction, but have now moved away from each other.
The current waxworks had been unveiled just three years ago by Tussauds to mark Pitt’s 50th birthday.“We reacted quickly to yesterday’s news of the separation of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt and their plans to divorce by mirroring the separation in the attraction. The couple’s wax figures, which were launched in 2013, have been split up and are now featured at a respectful distance from each other. Angelina is keeping Nicole Kidman company and Brad Pitt is with his several time co-star Morgan Freeman,” said a Madame Tussauds spokesperson.
News of the star couple’s split became public this Tuesday, and has left supporters and fans of the couple dismayed.
Angelina and Brad Pitt have been together since 2005, and got married in August 2014. They got together after meeting on the sets of Mr & Mrs Smith. It was the second marriage for Pitt, who was previously married to FRIENDS star Jennifer Anniston. Jolie was married to Billy Bob Thornton and Jonny Lee Miller earlier. The duo has six children together – Maddox, Pax, and Zahara, who are adopted, and biological children Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne.

Jolie is seeking physical custody of the children and asking the court to grant Pitt the right to visit them. According to a CNN report, Jolie has also asked the court to let her keep “miscellaneous jewellery and other personal effects” as well as any earnings from after the date of their separation and other separate assets to be determined later.
Last year, the couple had acted together in By The Sea, the romantic drama written and directed by Jolie.
Thus far, US media has attributed the split to Pitt’s co-star Marion Cotillard, with whom he acted in Allied.
